Hi

. . . . Does MEP 2016 support MOV Files . . . .

Not without QT.

MOV on Windows is a dead format - Apple have stopped supporting QT for Windows leaving a severe security bug unfixed - see here.

I converted all my MOV files to mp4.

. . . . audio lag on MP4's improved . . . .

I can only say I have not been affected by any audio lag issues with mp4's.

Audio lag  / sync issues are often caused by variable framerate video usually from screen recordings or some mobile devices.

Many thanks johnebaker, but I contacted Support a while back to ask about this and I'm sure they said we wouldn't need to use QT in 2016 and I'm just checking. I tried to fine the email that explained that but I can't see it. I'm reluctant to use QT on my new computer, Do you know of anywhere on their site which lists the file types that can be used with 2016? I haven't been able to find anything. My camera only outputs MOV files and I don't need the hassle of having to convert all my files.

Just found the supported files specs in the specifications section at the bottom and it says you can import and export MOV's but doesn't state whether QT should be installed to do it. Any ideas please folks. http://www.magix.com/gb/movie-edit-pro/detail/

I do not have QT installed however I can import MOV video into MEP 2016.

Exporting to MOV format gives the following error message:

Many thanks johnebaker, that will do fine. I only import MOV files and export as WMV so I should be OK. Thanks for your time and trouble. Much appreciated.
