Disc Images - safe to delete?

MikaS wrote on 12/6/2022, 1:54 AM

I was searching my SSD to see what's eating disc space, and I noticed that MEP had made Disc Images of my Blu-ray projects. That's a bit strange, since all my videos (source material & exports) are in a HDD. But MEP itself is installed in the SSD.

My question is, can I safely delete all the content in Disc Images -folder (path C/Users/Mika/Files/MAGIX/Movie Edit Pro Premium/Disc Images)? There are several subfolders, and subfolder STREAM has all the videos as .m2ts-files. I obviously have all the videos and BD-isos backed up elsewhere, so I don't need these m2ts-files. And I'm not returning to these old projects either.

@MikaS

Hi

The disc images can be deleted if you no longer need to produce further discs.

Personally I create a Master disc from which I can replicate if needed, these are kept in a cool dark place in black cases.

You can change the location in the program settings, Folders tab where these are created.
