Different computer, deleted old – “reached devices limit”

Had videographer business years ago.  Fired up my Vegas Movie Studio 14 Suite to edit some recent vacation clips but it wouldn’t work, clearly it needed updated.  Successfully downloaded most recent version.  Basically, MAGIX tells me that my computer is new and I can’t have two registered devices so delete one.  I deleted the old computer (gone to recycling).  Vegas Movie Studio now tells me I have reached my device limit, just go to MAGIX Service Center and easily register.  Lots of help if you have Vegas Movie Studio up and running but I can’t find a lead to where I can register my new desktop.  Ideas?  Thanks!

@Chuck-mice-ter Hi, there is no recent version of Vegas Movie studio -

Vegas Movie studio was a scaled-down version of Vegas Pro. It was developed by Sony for its first 13 versions. It was sold in Sony's larger 2016 sale of much of its creative software suite to Magix, who developed Versions 14 to 17. Magix would later discontinue VEGAS Movie Studio in 2021, in favor of the unrelated Magix Movie Studio.

What it sounds like you've done is downloaded either the most recent Vegas Pro, or the totally unrelated Magix Movie Studio which is completely different program to Vegas Movie Studio & has never had any relation to Magix Movie Studio.. .

If you want help you're going to have to be a bit clearer about which program you have & want help with? There's a separate forum for Vegas products.

@Chuck-mice-ter You go to Magix.com and login into your customer account. Then simply navigate to 'My Products' and open the details of your registered version of Vegas. There you can free up the installation from your old computers.
