What is the difference between "Questions & Answers" and "Forum"? Does a search in either come up with the same results?
Also, is there a way to filter search results by language?

you used Questions and Answers, and you will get answer with Magix Users or from the Moderator . Therefore, when any user got a question will ask in Questions and Answer. Please note it also got different categories. Asking a question in proper category will save time.
However, there are different forums, Forums created by Magix members that is Member forums, Teams, Exchange Member groups and forums. Such as once I had made one where users can talk and share their knowledge by the name of "User Party". There are other categories too. You should check.
In short, in Questions and Answers people ask question and get replies. In forums, people discuss and share their knowledge on various topics.
I don't think search will come up with the same result.
As you can see on the right side Search/Search term/In current category there isn't any option for language.
If you want to use language other than English then you better choose different country(FLAG) according to language when you sign in.

I have never tried that and I guess may be not possible. But I can understand what you want to say. Because me too had the same questions as you asked for search functions.
