I'm editing a large project to reduce the length of many video clips in track 1. Mainly, I just want to cut bits from either the beginning or end of many clips. The tracks below contain narrative, text, extra objects, etc, and naturally I want these to stay in sync. So if I remove a slice of a video clip in track 1, then I obviously not only want all the video to its right to move leftwards, but also the narrative etc as well.
I normally use the KB shortcut keys D and U to cut from the beginning and end of clips respectively. But I was surprised to find that these don't shift objects apart from those in track 1. This is whether Single or Intelligent mode is selected. So I have to make a cut with T and then use Ctrl + Delete.
Is this behaviour deliberate, with some benefit I haven't seen, or flawed design?
