@GAlutik

How did you do the delete?

If the samples didn't show up in Music Maker, then why did you delete anything?

  • Right click -> Unistall Soundpools

MM hung for a second.

I also tried Recuva, but no files were found either.

Right-click on what. Please, we can't see your screen so you have to better describe exactly what you did.

Right click on the Soundpool name in the Loops browser.

Uninstall selected Soundpools

Then a confirmation prompt. Yes / No

--

I just tried again, with the default soundpool in my newly created Music directory in the Windows user profile. This removal of a soundpool, also removes the files from the drive. I cannot understand why this was not part of the prompt - no chance of recovery.

Uninstall means Uninstall! And it asked for confirmation and you selected Yes.

Once again, if the loops did not show up in Music Maker, how could you even select something to uninstall them?

MM isn't intuitive.

Uninistall from the application library should not mean remove from the drive.

The prompt should at ask to a) permanently remove the files ; b) remove the link from the soundpool library.

It's still beyond me why it deleted the whole of My Music folder. When I went to my profile folders, videos documents etc were there, but not Music.

Use Windows Explorer to look for your folder.
