I have some very old Magix software that came with Terratec video capture hardware. As I do not now need the hardware I would like to sell it (or give it to a charity to sell), but if it sells, the new user may not be able to use the software since it is registered to me. How do I de register it ?
Hi Alan and welcome to the user to user website.
When you registered it you would have had to create a Magix account.
On the magix website you will find an icon at the top of the webpage shaped like a person that will take you to the account login page. Just use the email you had when you registered to log in. It doesn't have to be your current email address and you should be able to deactivate it from there.

The hardware on its own can be used by other programs and can be sold/donated as is without the software.
Unfortunately deactivating the software in your account is not enough - it still remains registered to your email address.
Assuming you are also wanting to sell the software or donated it to charity and you have the disc, you should inform Magix by email to infoservice@magix.net, giving the full program name, serial number and email address it is registered to and what you are wanting to do. They can then release the software from the registered email address.
