After stopping playback, the play cursor freezes and returns to the starting position after a while. This is very annoying when editing many items. I use RME Fireface UFXII sound card with ASIO driver. Does anyone know the solution so that the play cursor returns to the starting position immediately after stopping? Thank you for your help.
I have not encountered the latency behavior. By default, the cursor should return to the starting position upon stop. (normally the keyboard space bar= Stop. The Enter key= Pause. The keyboard Stop/Pause shortcuts can be reversed in 'Settings' I would try experimenting with the buffer settings for the latency issue.
Changing the sound card latency does not affect this Soundforge behavior. I also work with DAW Reaper, and cursor latency is fine. Problem is only with Soundforge when I set the ASIO MADIface USB driver in options. If I use eg Windows Classic Wave Driver in Soundforge, it is also fine.
