cursor bar will not scroll through my mix

when mixing the music, the red postion bar will not scroll through the mix and the timer won't count the minutes and the peak meter will not show the levels.

In addition to @PATIENT-X comment, can describe what you are trying to do when you are 'mixing the music' eg adjusting the relative track levels while playing the timeline etc.
