Croma Key Problems in MX Premium

Hi

Wondering if someone can shed light here.

I have MX Premium and I've used other versions of Magix 16,17 and now I'm on version 18

I'm doing a Croma Key Effect in MX and the the Video Project Settings are 720x576 with a 16:9 Aspect Ratio

In the Picture which is the Croma Key I edit it in Windows Paint and place the picture in Magix and Hit the Croma Button in Effects the Picture is not lineing up with the Subject above.

Here is a screen shot of what I'm talking about:

Thanks.

Hi

The problem is the still image has been saved with square pixels, where as a DV at 16:9 has the horizontal width of the pixels stretched to fit the screen width ie the pixels are rectangular.

You need to save the image with the stretched pixels to fit the widescreen.  Some image editing programs allow you to do this.

Alternatively under Effects, Size/Movement you need to increase the width of the image while keeping the height the same ie take the tick out of keep proportions and set the width to 854 pixels if the current width is 576 (IIRC)
