Created Music Usage Clarification (Magix Music Maker 2014)

This is a little more specific question involving personal and public uses of music created through Magix Music Maker 2014. Here are two situations I wanted to cover and become clear. Also, straight-to-the-point answers would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I created music using soundpools already provided, can I share it publicly (ex.Youtube, Facebook, etc) and/or sell the music? Yes or No?
  2. I created music using the MIDI editor, no soundpools and external sounds/music (outside of Magix Music Maker 2014) included. Can I share it publicly (ex. Youtube, Facebook, etc) and/or sell the music? Yes or No?

Hi,

This has been answered probably a hundred times, including again today. Do a search for legal and you will find many Q&A's about this.

Read the licenses that come with Magix whatever and Catooh. We are not lawyers here and no one here works for Magix.

Anything that you "create" using MMM, whether midi or audio recording, is yours, unless you are using someone else's song and just performing it. Any Magix/Catooh soundpools and music are subject to licensing requirements depending on the type of use. Again, read the licenses.

Magix has stated that some of their drum beats are not subject to licensing because they are too generic. But, you have to check which ones.
