Create & Save your Own Live Preset

TIPS:
Software: MAGIX Music Maker -Live
Click on the key "K" on your keyboard. Too familiar, it's a Live Pad. You have limited Live Sets and you have LOADS of soundpools? I actually have over 70 soundpools from both MAGIX & Music Maker JAM, but the Presets of the Live Pad are not too enough for a cool party.
What To Do?
If you have a cool song from your creation using one style or multiple styles that have the same Tempo (BPM), Launch the Live Pad and drop 16 Loops from the selected styles. To Save The Pad as a Preset ".lms" go to "Load" on your pad, copy the link (file/folder location), exit, click on "Save", paste the link in the topper bar, and there you are with the DEFAULT Live Presets' folders. If your own preset belongs to one of the available Sets, click on the folder, create a new folder in it with the name of your preset, click on it then save your Preset there.
For Example: My Preset was totally new, the link to the file was:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Live Pads\Berlin Minimal\Made In Germany\Made In Germany.lms
This could be different for you.

Q&A:
Q: Should I restart the program after creating my preset?
A: No. The preset is ready even without restarting the program. You can immediately apply.

Q: Should all loops have the same tempo?
A: With preference, yes. So the sounds won't be corrupted. They might not be at the same timing; that's why.

Q: Can I use loops from different styles?
A: Yes. But only if they have the same PITCH criteria: Sample1= C in Style x might be Sample1=a in Style y. That's why when you change the pitch to a number, the numbers of the samples only work, not the keys.

Q: Is it legal to do this?
A: Yes! MAGIX Provides you to save your work, so it is legal!

Enjoy your Software!

Thank you Astro .

I have a question :

When i am picking some existing presets from Magix of LivePad , i notice that the some files have a lower volume than others .

For instance in the "double sub" preset from Magix , the drums are at full volume , and the "pitch glitch synth" sample is at 3/4 volume ( probably -6Db ) and the FX samples are at half volume ( probably -18 Db)

When i am trying to create my preset , i don t know how to inform the GUI of livePad to tell that these samples should be played ( and recorded in the main window ) at a lower volume

How to do this ?

Thanks for commenting. I wanted to inform you that I also have this problem.

The MAGIX Music Maker and Music Maker JAM have these styles (Same loops) with normal differences in the volume. It depends on the instrument.

Actually I tried to know where's the problem, so I dragged the same loops with their default volumes, from the sound pools to the arrangers then listened. And the same problem is there.

Don't worry, The only one solution is to mix the loops as they are while recording. Once finished, select the object in the arranger and change its volume. Listen again to the song you created, and check if you want to modify something like EQ, Volume, Fx..

Live Pad is meant to make the Real Time Remix, with pitches. Then you can edit what you created in the arrangers.

I hope this would help.

Kind Regard.
