Crashes Constantly.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Right in the middle of a song, if I am arranging or doing vocals, it will crash and I lose everything I just did. It takes me a long time to actually get a minute of the song recorded. I have to continuously click save every 10 seconds to make sure I don’t lose anything.

I'm having the same issue. I save every few seconds, so it is less of an issue getting back up, but it is crashing every minute or so. I HATE THIS! It used to be fine until yesterday. Also, I noticed it started crashing when I started seeing the ad for the upgrade. I don't think I want to invest any more money into something this unstable.

This is a waste of time! It's crashing before I can playback a song!

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

First, please read this post and tell us a lot more about your computer hardware etc. Also, tell us exactly which version and variant of MM you have.

Also, is there some action or actions you do which can be "guaranteed" to cause the crash? If so, can you detail it/them, step by step?

I fully accept that crashes of any software are extremely annoying and should not happen, but we cannot see your computer, so any additional information you can provide will be very useful.

Hey Jeff, first before I go into every detail of my set up, let me begin by saying this: I have a computer built to handle just about anything and it was handling MM just fine for the last few weeks since I bought the program. There were a few crashes, but it wasn't too annoying. Since yesterday, however, it has been a mess. It ain't my computer. I run Win 10 up to date and, as I said before, the specs on the computer are massive; tons of memory and tons of storage. I could handle NASA with it. I don't need to do anything in the program specifically. It crashes even if I'm just trying to play my project, but it seems to get really bad if I have any objects muted. I don't use instruments, just loop content purchased from the online store. I don't do fancy stuff. I just arrange the loops and go.

@QuantumSignals

Hi

Help us to help you by providing all the information about your computer specs and program version as requested by @emmrecs.

Meaningless and irrelevant hyperbole are unnecessary and not helpful in enabling other forum members to assist with issues you are having.

I apologize for not being specific, but when I purchase a program, I expect a little understanding especially being a noob.

I amusing Windows 10, I have. Yeti Blue USB microphone and I am running MM 2020, purchased. I have been trying different settings in the mic setting cogwheel icon. I have set it to 1024 samples, I downloaded the ASIO for all driver. I have also used Direct sound, WASAPI driver and it seems to crash during playback of my vocals to the music. An error message will pop up saying “Not a HD project!” then it shuts down and restarts. Very laggy when I hit the record button as well. There is a delay in the start of the song.
I guess I expected a plug and play type of experience.

In the advanced section, I make sure my mic input and output are selected.

@systembleu

Hi

. . . . “Not a HD project!” . . . .

This is an unusual error message that has, AFAIK, only been met once before - I would suggest you contact Magix Support through the Support link at the top of the forum.
