Crash

I bought Movie Studio Today in hopes of using it today for a special project. However, all I get is a serious Crash has occurred and the program will not work and does not shut down. I placed all the required info such as S/N, Name Address, and it appeared to download successful and got to "FINISH". still don't work. Am sure it is a glitch somewhere but what? Need some help from Magix.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, so this is not any support channel for Magix..

However, there are a number of experienced users of the software who visit and post here so we may well be able to help you, but not without a lot more information from you.

First, please read this post and supply us with ALL the information requested there.

Then, please tell us exactly which edition and version of MS you have.

Then, check that ALL the drivers for your computer, especially for your CPU and GPU are fully up to date by going to the appropriate manufacturer's website. Don't depend on Microsoft Windows Update service to do this; unfortunately, it is often rather "out of date" itself when dealing with third-party manufacturers.
