Cover Date/Time Stamp

I have a mini video camera that I cannot change the Date/Time stamp and am trying to cover it using these two options:

1) I have tried to add text over the stamp using General tab but the screen border does not allow me to place the text close to the edge, instead it keeps moving away from the edge.

2) I have also tried to use Captions/Neutral 06 which is preferred but I cannot stretch the time line to match the length of the video.

Any and all suggestions to get this to work would be wonderful.

Thank you!

using Movie Edit Pro 16 (Version 9.0.6.6 (C1)) / Windows 7

Hi,

If you are going to use the one of the animated captions, you are going to need to repeat it many times.  If you have a graphics application or a photo application with some graphics capability, why not just draw a box, insert text if desired, then use size and position to put the box where you need it.  Set your page size to something smaller than 8.5x11 inches, have the box cover the entire page put the text at a size that fits into the box and then save it as a jpeg.  In MEP drag the jpeg to an empty track, select the jpeg then go to the size and position effect and change it to the dimensions and position that you want, then make the jpeg as long as you need it to be.

Here is an example of what I mean
