Could ACID PRO Rise AGAIN !!! ..NEW MANAGEMENT !!

Greetings folks, Im not sure if you heard but Magix did a total overhaul of there staff..

"01/28/25 Berlin, January 2025: MAGIX Software GmbH will be taken over by Russmedia Equity Partners (RMEP) at the beginning of the year. This development follows the company's insolvency under self-administration. With the takeover by RMEP, the insolvency has now officially ended and the company has been successfully restructured."

I think this provides hope for alot of there software. Because the original staff definitely was not being creative on how they were utilizing everything. Acid Pro was getting no light at all for like almost 3 years .

If they did an update I would only want 4 things for Acid Pro..

1] A right click option on the mouse pad where I could quickly access all the grid spacing/ruler marks settings..The fact that I have to keep going to the Tool bar is annoying.

2] A video slicer. I know Vegas pro handles video, but if Acid had an option to just slice the video so that you could arrange it with your song and that's it, that would be awesome. They could leave all the extra effects and editing stuff to Vegas.

3] Better sounding Morph Pads would be nice. The concept is good, but its just the effects sounds are cheesy.

4] Being able to use the Chopper's play button without it stopping the project files play process, That way you could slice on the Chopper and insert the sliced sample into the project while a beat is playing in the project area.

Magix new team stated..

"This market is experiencing robust growth, driven by the demand for high-quality digital content and user-friendly software solutions across all industries. As one of the leading providers of creative software with a broad product range, MAGIX fits perfectly into our portfolio of successful brand names in the digital sector."

"Since the acquisition of a large part of Sony Creative Software's portfolio in 2016, the professional video editor VEGAS Pro has expanded the MAGIX product range. In addition to other software titles such as Sound Forge and ACID Pro, an active customer base of several million users was also acquired at the time, significantly expanding MAGIX's presence in North America and Asia."

So there maybe hope for Acid Pro after all..Hopefully the New Team checks the Forums Lol. Anyway whats you guys opinion? You can read the whole article in there Press Release section.

@DyReck411 I don't think that there will be any further development on Acid and only very minimal development on Sound Forge.

Long term, they will very likely prioritize Vegas, Music Maker and Samplitude/Sequoia. Video Pro X will get new features from Vegas so it basically will become a reskinned version of Vegas.

SP, Well lets try and stay positive. The new management did specifically mentioned how the old Magix crew was utilizing its own products poorly. The new team addressed all the software Magix products in the article. And they seem serious about revamping the company.
