FYI, One license for Sound Forge 12 (or another Magix version) can be activated on two (2) PCs simultaneously. If an alternate PC if needed, one of two current activations would need to be deactivated and re-activated on the alternate PC. The '365' subscription versions can only be activated on one (1) PC at a time.
The current version of Sound Forge Audio Studio and Sound Forge Pro is 16. Most audio files (including the proprietary Perfect Clarity Audio <.pca> lossless format from the legacy Sony and Sonic Foundry versions) are upwards/downwards compatible.
The non-destructive Sound Forge <.frg> 'project' format is upwards compatible, so for example, a project from SF-12 can be opened in SF-16.
