Copyright on drum&bass vol3 Quantum_Mace wrote on 2/18/2017, 1:20 PM Hi, Just checking that the audio tracks in drum&bass vol3 are royalty free and I can use them commercially without credit as long as I have magix music maker full. If im wrong could you link the creative commons clause. Thanks 🙂 Back to post
Comments johnebaker wrote on 2/18/2017, 1:50 PM Hi Which version of Music Maker do you have - please give the full name and version number as found under Help, About . . . Have you had any earlier versions of Music Maker before the version you currently have - if so which version(s). . . . . If im wrong could you link the creative commons clause . . . . Soundpools are copyrighted Magix - there is no 'creative commons' licensing for them. John EB Quantum_Mace wrote on 2/18/2017, 2:22 PM So i can't use the soundpools commercially? johnebaker wrote on 2/18/2017, 3:56 PM Hi You can if you buy the Pro licences from Catooh for each Soundpool you use. Note: you are only licensed to use them commercially you cannot claim copyright on them this still belongs to Magix. See this comment for more details and also this topic for information about uploading to sharing sites. HTH John EB Quantum_Mace wrote on 2/19/2017, 9:33 AM Thanks this helped. Although I could only find sounds and not soundpools but that's fine. johnebaker wrote on 2/19/2017, 1:04 PM Hi Soundpool is the term used for a collection of sounds. Catooh does call them Soundpools, as shown in the breadcrumb links below However the main bar menu items it is abbreviated to Sounds - presumably for space reasons. If you have not done so look at a Soundpool, eg this one, and click the Description tab you will see the types of sounds included in that Soundpool. Cheers John EB 1
