COPYING VIDEO TO MULTIMEDIA PLAYER

Hi,

Just wondered if you could give some advice regarding the following please.

Over the past 13 years I have taken many videos of my daughter Maria with the intention of giving her the set, together with the photographs of her, depicting her life from birth until 18.

All videos have been put onto DVD which more recently have been blu ray disks.

I now wonder if another option and as a means of protecting the videos would be for the videos to be copied to a 2TB MULTI MEDIA PLAYER HDMI 1080P.

Can I simply copy the disk and paste it into such a hard drive/media player or do the completed dvd's and blu ray disks have to be treated in another way before they can go onto hard drive as something that can be viewed by this device please.

I would like the videos etc to remain as they are with the same chapters etc as the completed dvd's and simply want to move the video's intact, with the same ability to use the menus etc.

It is a question of moving from dvd/blu ray disk to Hard Drive...is it just copy and paste the whole disk as it appears or does the video require some other means of processing etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best wishes

Ray
