Copying and Loading Soundpools Problem

David-Harney wrote on 9/1/2024, 4:36 PM

I have Magix Musicmaker Premuim 2023 running on a new Windows 11 PC. I reloaded the program from CD to my new computer so it didn't find all my soundpools. I copied my old soundpools to a DVD and from there used "add new soundpools" to get them to MMM 2023. They showed up in a "Soundpools on DVD" directory and I was able to see them in the loops window. However they would not play unless the DVD was loaded. So I watched John Baker's video and learned to move my old sound poolto the Soundpools directory. they still wouldn't play. I tried rescanning and still no luck. Can anyone suggest anything else to get them tow work? TIA>

@David-Harney Maybe the program still looks for the Soundpools on the DVD? It could help to reset the program settings via File > Settings. Then add the Soundpools from your SSD instead your DVD.

@David-Harney

Hi,

Your Soundpools have to be copied onto a hard drive and under the main location of Sounpools which you can see in the Program Settings, Folders tab. Then you scan the entire Soundpools folder or just the additional Soundpool folders.

In the above image, you can see that I copied the 1000 Sounds with 3 Soundpools under the SoundPools folder. Chillout, Dubstep and Reggae show up in Music Maker for me.
