I did, several ways, to no avail. My question really implied how.

Hi

I am making several assumptions here as you have provided no information on how you are copying and pasting:-

  • The text in the Word document is black

  • You are using Ctrl+V to paste the text into the title - right click, paste is not available

  • Nothing appears to happen

Then this is a common problem with pasting from Word - the text is carrying over the formatting from Word, which  the default is black text, however the text background in MEP is also black, hence you get black text on a black background.

The easiest way to remove the formatting is to copy the text from Word to Notepad then from Notepad to the MEP.

In MEP 2016 Plus/Premium:

Also, but using Word,

Ctrl+C from Word

Create title in MEP - press on the T button

Ctrl+V to paste

Accept

Text is black, change it to another colour by clicking on the colour button in the Title editor. Change the font, font size, edit.

Alternate method that has some quirks:

Create title in MEP - press on the T button

Double-click on the word Title in the dialog box, not in the box in the Preview monitor.

Ctrl+V - press enter or space or a letter and the text will show up as white in the text box in the Preview monitor.

Second alternative:

Select the object to link the title to, click on the Title tab, click in the text box in the dialog box, Ctrl+V, type a letter, a space or enter and the title box will be inserted and you will see the text.
