Convert .MOV to .WMV & viewing file size

I have Movie Edit Pro ("MEP") 15 Plus.
1 -  When you save a video on MEP it save the file as a .MVP file. Can you default MEP to save video files as a .WMV so that when saving a video you don't have to export or batch configuration or Mixdown the file into a .WMV. I find that it takes a long time to convert.

2 - I have four .MOV files that MEP failed to convert to a .WMV. Now the .MOV file will not play at all. Is there anything that can be done to save the file so that it's playable again. They are part of 19 videos I recored on my Nikon camera. I am using MEP to put them together to make 1 complete video.

3 - When putting little videos together to make one large video, where can you see the size of the file?  I want to email them using Yahoo but Yahoo only allows a file size of 25MB.

1)  MVP is (I believe) Magix Video Project.  It's not a video file, but the container file for your project.  You have to use Export to produce an actual movie file.

2) I use www.tunebite.com for file conversions.  Tunebite costs a little bit of money, but it's well worth it.  As far as the MOV file, it sounds like it got corrupted.  Hopefully, you have a backup.  I've had success on two occations where tunebite successfully converted a movie file to a different format, even though I could not play the file on a media player.  It's a long shot for you, but it might work.

3) Sorry, I don't know the answer to this question.  I just export the movie using smaller and smaller settings until I get a movie file within the limits.  Again, a good file conversion product will make this easier.

Good luck

From the nikonites, i find a easy post and solution as below:

"I use a software called iDealshare VideoGo to convert my .mov files to avi or wmv

I prefer it for it support batch conversion and also can convert mov with no quality loss.

Here is the step by step guide on how to convert mov to wmv, avi

The only pity is that it is not totally free. Anyway, i think it is worthy, for it can also convert avi or wmv to mov, mp4 or convert mov to mp4, mkv, mpg, flv etc format.

Hope it is what you are looking for."
