Hi

. . . . Is there a way to apply to a video a continuous rotation at a specified angular speed with Magix Movie Studio 2023? . . . .

This is posssible as follows - with reference to the video clip below:

  • Select the image/video clip and position the timeline cursor at the position you want the rotation to start .
  • Select Size Position & Rotation - resize and position the image/video object if required (not done in the video clip) and add a keyframe
  • Move the timeline cursor to the time you want the rotation to end
  • Calculate the number of degrees for the number of rotations required - in the example I chose 5 rotations which is 5 x 360 = 1800
  • Select the Z rotation control and enter the rotation degrees and press the Enter key
  • Select the Size Position & Rotation keyframe name and add a keyframe to 'lock' all the parameters.
  • Drag the start and end time keyframes to adjust the timing if required.

To remove altazimuth field rotation from an astrovideo, the video will have to be rotated continuously at the same rate that the Earth rotates/orbits/precesses, about 15 degrees per hour or about 0.25 degrees per minute.

My free trial ran out so I don't have access to the software until I make a purchase. But it sounds like this task should be doable?
