Hi,

In order to increase the sounds/instruments that you can sequence via MIDI in Music Maker, you'd have to add further VST/software instruments. There are a lot of these available (both free and commercial products). However, if you really have the regular version of Music Maker 14 (as opposed to the "Producer Edition"), you won't be able to add external soft synths. You're restricted to whatever came with the program (Vita). In the "Producer Edition", this can be done. (If you have the latter and you need more detailed instructions, feel free to ask for more info.)

Btw, SoundFonts are a collection of sampled audio. You could have a variety of sounds or different samples (e.g. different pitches) for one single instrument in a SoundFont file. In order to use them, you will have to use a software instrument that can load and play them. The free sfZed comes to mind:

However, in order to integrate this into your Music Maker, you'd need the "Producer Edition" for VST support again (see above).

Might be a good idea to compile all your additional VST plug-ins in one folder on your hard drive. Then you will have to point Music Maker to that folder: Open the MIDI Editor in Music Maker, open the "Instr." drop-down list, go to "Software instruments" => "VST plug-in path" and browse for your plug-in directory. After the plug-ins have been scanned by the program, open the "Instr." list again and you will find the external plug-ins under the "Software instruments" sub menu.
