Computer won't recognize the camera

Have just installed Movie Edit Pro 15 and upgraded to 8.6.1.0(C1) and the program won't recognise the video camera (Panasonic NV-GS250) when trying to import. Anyone have a solution?? Am using a USB connection - should it work with that or do I have to use a special cord? If so what one? Not a lot in the manual to explain.

Hi John3801,

as the Panasonic NV-GS250 is a MiniDV-Camcorder, you need to use a FireWire cable to connect your camcorder to your computer - an USB-Connection will not work.
