Compressed Horz output for the LG P920 3D phone

Hello

I just purchased this phone on contract and I am trying to generated a 800x480 side by side and horz compressed video.

I'm not having any luck at all. What I get is side by side scaled 720p in the frame of 800x480 and not the footage compressed into the 800x480 to fill the frame entirely.

I can send in / post what the footage should look like.

This could be a major USP for owners of these 3D phones - just need to sort out preset buttons.

Cheers

Hi mark

LG's spec for the phone states it plays  720@30fps for 3D, so there is no point trying to get 800*480 which is a none standard size.

I pulled the footage off the phone - thats what it was.

Also even with 720p at 30fps etc - the l/r still needs to be compressed into a horz 1/2 size to fit.

Hi

Now that I have used the phone more and updated the purchased software I have found that the best output for the  3d video on screens is avi one compressed. The MP4 is coming rather 'mushy'.

So I will now try the suggested format.

Surely you coudl expand your market by making presets for the various 3d phones (soon there will be tablets btw).

I'm happy to send tech a sample video clip from the phones format to see what will work.

Cheers

Hi

I've done it now (about ten min earlier) and while the MP4 from MAGIX plays fine side by side - its just 2D. There must be a tag in the file somewhere for the camera to 'see' that the file is 3D and play to screen in that way.

If I send tech support a file that came with the phone is there a way to check?
