Cleaning Lab 17 vs Simple cut in Roxio-simple sound editor ?

At the beginning of a recording the record needle makes a starting click (from other recording methods also).

In Roxio Simple Sound editor you can high light this sound and delete it, with out having a cross fade and

is usually so short that the resulting removal is completely sub audible!  The files are stuck back together with no resulting gap.  This is very simple and very quick process...

Is there any way to temporally turn off cross fading in Cleaning Lab?

If not is there any way to remove the cross fading by selecting it?

I have even done this on very short single clicks in the middle of a music file.  Again so short that

there is no need of cross fading nor is any audible distortion after wards.

Under "Options" drop down menu, there is a selection that is checked off called "Auto crossfade mode active...". If you turn this mode off by de-selecting it, you will not have the crossfade happen.
