Chapter Markers in Quicktime Playback format

I’ve added Chapter Markers to my project but do they only work if you export your project to a DVD and not, say, if I export it as a quicktime movie?

I’ve had problems in the past when after spending a lot of time on one’s project, exported it to DVD and then the disc starts to pause mid playback after just a few plays and so want in the future to export to a format that will be longer lasting, hence wondering if it is technically possible in a quicktime movie to be able to jump to the next section.

I'm using Magix Movie Edit Pro 2013 Plus

Hi,

Chapters are for use only in menus. So you cannot expect them to appear in any type of standard file exported from MEP for playing on a computer.

"I am trying to ‘divide up’ a completed project into sections so on playback on the computer, I can move to any particular section and play from there if so required."

Perhaps I've misunderstood, but why can't you (or your target audience) simply play the DVD folder rendered by MEP and saved in the location specified?

Must admit that initially I thought that there was an easy solution to what I was trying to achieve and that I had been doing something wrong – both I now realise was incorrect.

I must admit that not knowing about movie forrmats, I chose QuickTime to export my movie to as that was something I recognised. However I will experiment and look further at what you suggest.

Many Thanks for your suggestions.
