Channel meters do not work during recording.

Sound Forge 17 & 14 - Clicking the Microsoft Mapping buttons on the top of the channel meters stops them from working. How do you turn them back on? Under View>Windows Layout>Stereo Recording has channel meters on the left side of the screen and that works fine, but the channel metes on the right still do not work

Seasons Greetings @Scott-Morrow, the main timeline meters are Playback levels.. If you want to view the 'recording' levels prior to and during recording,

  • - Go to 'View> Record options' and make any other parameter changes if so desired.
  • - To view the record levels prior to 'rolling tape', leave the 'Record options' window open and select 'Arm' (aka, record ready) in the 'Transport' menu or (keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+ Shift+ A).
  • - Viewing the record level meters in the Record option window, make any necessary record level adjustments at the audio source, external interface or internal soundcard.
  • - Commence recording by selecting 'Record' in the Transport menu (shortcut: Ctrl+R)
  • - Select 'Stop' in the 'Transport' to cease recording. The 'Pause' command may operate differently depending on user settings
  • The Transport control can be added to the main display in the 'View> Toolbar' or added individually to the toolbar.
