When I am in mixer view, and attempt to change a track name (ie Guitar to Low Guitar) it will not allow me to edit the name. The keyboard thinks im using short cuts.
@Brendan-Donnelly Here is a quote from the official Samplitude forum. Maybe it will help you:
About the Mixer shortcut handling...
In one of the X7 patches SEQ-7104-reverse tab movement and new focus handling was introduced. Since then it behaves like this:
New focus handling in Docker or with floating windows
KeyStroke is pressed (e.g. mixer as FF or time display in Docker) If not yet open: --> opens window (possibly in Docker), puts it in focus If already open and in focus --> close window/minimize Docker If already open, but not in focus: puts window (in Docker) in focus This way you can switch from window to window with the right keyStrokes without closing anything (unless it is in focus!)
-> so this is the reason you think it is not responding - because you might work in arranger, click on object etc. and focus is there and not in the mixer
If one does not like this new behaviour here are the steps to disable it and revert to pre X7 focus handling:
Navigate to C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Samplitude Pro X8 Suite
Open Sam_x64.ini with text editor
Add entry under [Factors] DisableSetFocusHandlingByShortcuts=1
I was getting desperate, so I reloaded samplitude. Sorry I forgot to mention I'm still running X7 pro. It must of been a windows 10 upgrade as the last session everything worked fine.
