What language is your computer set to use by default?
I'm pretty certain that there is an option when you first install the program to select an interface language; it is entirely possible this will default to German if you do not make any selection yourself. OTOH, I would expect the default to be the "language" of your computer.
If your interface language is NOT the one you would like, the only method I know which will allow a change of language is to completely uninstall the current program (please see, and follow exactly, this tutorial on how to do that) and then reinstall, taking care to select your chosen language.
Thank you Jeff for getting back to me about this. I did check my computer language default, and it is set to English. Before I attempt to do this tutorial, I wanted to tell you first that when the computer was extracting the files from the CD version there was not any option given to explore any of the files. I am not sure this will help ?
You should not need to explore any of the files; my understanding is that the installer itself should show a message very early in the process which asks you which language you wish to use.
Which exact version of PS Deluxe are you attempting to install and where did you buy the CD/DVD? I ask, because I'm beginning to wonder whether you have an "old" version and a disk that was intended for sale in a non-English-speaking country.
Thank you for helping me get this started. I called the geek squad, and they had no trouble with the procedure. It is now in English, and I am so happy to be able to read everything. The version is 13.1.1.12, and it was offered at a discount with the update to Designer ProX
Then I'm afraid you are actually several versions behind! The current latest is 18.1.1.53. Where, exactly, did you "buy" this update to Designer Pro X?
I bought Designer ProX for $299.00 on their website on line along with the physical version of the CD for an extra for $14.00. Then I renewed the update service for $129.00. The bonus was The Magix Photo Manager Deluxe on the CD Now my updated service was extended 9/14/2020. I bought this from Germany because that is where the company is. The distributor for the cd of designer pro x came from Minneapolis. The Distributor for The Magix Photo Manager Deluxe came from Livermore CA.
