I have added a navigation bar to my website. However, it automatically goes to the same position on each page when this isn't where I want it. Moving it on 1 page moves it to that position on all the pages.
Your navigation bar is probably on the BACKGROUND layer which is common to all pages. Insert a new navigation bar in the foreground and you will not have this problem.
I have experimented extensively with navigation bars in the website that I have created - see www.bodminroadchurch.com
My issue was that I needed to create many nav bars, which were context sensitive. To do this, I had my overarching areas (i.e. master categories) and the navigation for this was placed onto the background page.
Then, for each subpage, I created independent navigation bars down the side to allow full selection over the pages within that sub category.
It works very well, once you get your head around it.
Have a look at the website if it would help, and feel free to ask more questions
