Which background colour - the MEP interface or the video?

The Video. I'm editing my son's wedding and I have a full shot of the wedding program which is longer than it is wide, so not 1920x1080. When it displays, the backround is black. I was hoping I could change the backround from black to the color of the printed program border and it would look better. My ols (now defunct) editing software allowed this but I can't find the same setting in MEP. Perhaps it's not possible, but it never hurts to ask> thanks for the reply...Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Several ways to do it but here's one using the specific MEP tool provided:

Step 1: R-click > Background design > Background design...

Step 2: Choose the option required. If the colour you want is visible within the clip itself, then choose 'Use color'.

Or you could choose an external file, for example to produce a gradient background.
