Hi.

Two ways to achieve what you want:

On the timeline not the MIDI Editor, select the MIDI object and either:

  • Drag the right hand end of the object to the left (i.e. shorten the object) until that right hand end is on the 2-bar mark, OR
  • Place the cursor at the 2-bar mark, press "T" (for cut/split); you now have two separate objects, 1 for bars 1 and 2, 1 for bars 3 and 4; simply delete the right hand one.
