Change language in MEP 2016 Premium

asoeli wrote on 3/31/2017, 6:01 PM

I have Premium versions of MEP 2014, 2015 and 2016. In the 2 first ones I can change between german, english, french, spanish and more. But in MEP 2016 Prem. I can't change language under File < Settings, although I find the translations for the different functions under 'ProgramData'. Has a 'tab' at 'Settings' been forgotten at the 2016 version ? I see 'peter-scholl' has the same problem with MEP-2017 !

Hi

Can you post a screen shot of the Language option for MEP 2014 or 2015?

What are the full version numbers of MEP 2014 and 2015?

In my versions:

MEP 2014 13.0.5.4 (UDC2)

MEP 2015 14.0.0.183 (UDPP3)

the only time a language option was available was at installation time.

. . . . I find the translations for the different functions under 'ProgramData'. . . . .

I have these even though only the English language is installed.

Hi John,

my versions are:

MEP 2014 13.0.5.4 (UDTP), MEP 2015 14.0.0.183 (UDPP3)

and MEP 2016 15.0.0.107 (UDC2).

MEP2014 and 2015 give me 8 diff. languages, and the older MX has 14 !!

I can change between the languages as I like, the program exits and come back with the chosen language. Clicking 'Automatic' goes back to english. Here are my screenshots:

Sorry, I get error message when uploading i 3 diff formats: jpg, png and bmp.

But the Language opt. is under Settings, together with Movie, Program, keyboard shortc., Reset

Hi Andreas

Thanks for the information.

My MEP 2016 version is 15.0.0.107 (UDP3) exactly what the UDP3, UDC2 etc means I have no idea

We have the same version of MEP 2015, however I have no option to change languages as you can see below

The actual installation file is

Movie_Edit_Pro_2015_Premium_DLV_en-GB_date _ time_version number.exe

I suspect your installation files, prior to MEP 2016, must be a multi language version ie not en-GB. Which would lead me to surmise that the MEP 2016 install file installed on your PC was single language.

As you know, I had the same problem with MEP 2017. My version of MEP 2016 allowed me to select the language.

I received a reply from Magix telling me that you have to append the -force parameter to the download manager if you want to be able to manually select the installation language. This works perfectly in MEP 2017 but I don't know if it will work for your version.

IMO, removing the language selection is a very, very bad decision and I really hope it will be reversed. Otherwise, they may soon have a lot of very dissatisfied (and angry) customers.

I wasted hours trying to get the program to install in English.
