Assuming that you actually want a file of the screen and not just an extended static shot of image from a video on the timeline, File, Export Movie, Single frame as JPEG.
Time to start reading the manual and watching the tutorials.
Believe me when I say that this forum was my last resort in finding an answer to my question, as I had already watched videos, read the manual and asked others. In any case, your instructions were to the point and worked just fine. Thanks so much! :)

@Lilia Hi, I empathise with you, sometimes I'll search & search trying to find the solution, if i was trying to capture a picture from the screen, Export a JPG wouldn't be my first thought, a lot of programs (Vegas) have a 'Capture a snapshot' option but not MEP, searching for that 'capture' option can lead to dead ends, , so sometimes it's easier to swallow your pride & ask, there's plenty of people here happy & willing to help.👍
The reason I mentioned, "...and not just an extended static shot of image from a video on the timeline" is because sometimes (often in my case) one just wants a still image from a video clip to be on the timeline, not an external file. In this case, it's a simple right-click, Insert still image at playback marker (or in a range).
