capture suddenly stops for no reason

jimpikl wrote on 6/7/2013, 4:06 PM

When capturing from a digital camcorder on Digital video, record DV as MPEG, after the camcorder starts and capture starts, capture just stops after about 7 seconds.  How do you fix this?

I am on Windows XP, and the software used to work.

I have uninstalled the software (Magix Movie Edit Pro 12) and reinstalled, but that didn't help.

The camcorder must have NO TAPE inserted in this situation.

Sorry, but how can capture from a digital camera work if the camera has no tape inserted?

And, why capture DV as MPEG?

Hi

. . . . The camcorder must have NO TAPE inserted in this situation. . . .

I think jimpikl means - for the OP's problem to happen, there is no tape in the camera.

Hi Jeff

. . . . but jimpkl IS the OP! . . .

Missed that

Perhaps then the OP has posted the solution to this problem - it does make sense?
