First, can you confirm whether you are trying to update via Help>Update Online? Does the update file appear to successfully download? Have you tried to redownload that file, just in case it has become corrupted whilst downloading to your computer?

Then please read this thread and give us all the information requested there, especially about your computer (operating system and version, CPU, RAM GPU, Hard Drive type and free space, etc., etc.) without all of which we are simply guessing what might be the problem. Also, please tell us which version of MM you currently have; you'll find the precise details under Help>About Magix Music Maker.

One other question: unless you bought your current version of MM less than 12 months ago, any update to a later version almost certainly has to be paid for. Can you tell us what is your situation with reference to this requirement?
