Cant hear Recording Sound/Playback

DGriffith wrote on 12/20/2015, 11:23 PM

I have Magix Music Studio 2015.  Loved 2011 version.  I am havng so much trouble with this one.  I have tried to use the recording feature and there is a pick up but when played back there is such little sound...can barely hear it.  On the screen there is no indication it has recorded.  There is very low volume at playback.  Can anyone help or suggest solution?  Thank you for whatever help you can provide...

Hi

. . . . Cant hear Recording Sound/Playback . . . . I have tried to use the recording feature and there is a pick up but when played back there is such little sound . . . .

We need more information

Recording from what?

Have you checked the Sounds, Recording options in Windows  to ensure you are getting a good sound level into the computer?

Is the audio level meter in MMS in the green with occasional excursions into orange when recording.

I am triyin to to record from a mic into the front mic input.  I have checked the Sounds/Recording options, but am not sure what I should be looking for/at specifically...  When recording I get no indication of sound input in the window.  At playback the sound in the window fluctuates at about -35 or so...There is sound.  It is recording, but the volume is very low.  I am quite the amateur with this and generally use it to record my flute music with other sounds on a few tracks.  Nothing very sophisticated.  For someone who records a lot of uses Magix with a level of sophistication, this may be an easy fix.  I have used Music Studio 11 before and it seemed a simpler interface to me.  This too may become easy once I am able to use it with recording, playback and editing...I hope this will help your questions related to my post.  Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
