Cannot Register Product - "An Online Connection Cannot Be Established"

Hello everyone,

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit (10.0, Build 19042), i5-4460 CPU, 8GB Ram. I recently updated from Magix Music Maker 2018 Premium to 2021 and received Soundforge 12.6, Build 361, 64-Bit as a part of the upgrade. When entering the serial code to register in the application itself (which I have run both as administrator and not, and am running the 64-bit version), I receive an error that says "An online connection could not be established. Please make sure your computer is connected to the internet," etc. I have cleared all of my internet settings, allowed it access through my Firewall (and even have disabled it entirely to no avail), and am unsure of how to proceed.

I do not know what else I can do to register this product and run it. I have uninstalled it, registered it online through my Magix account, redownloaded it directly from there, installed it, and am still having the same problem. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears; I haven't been able to find any other articles on this problem with this software specifically.

Thanks,

Marcus

@wjones1119

Just to be absolutely clear: this is a problem you are experiencing with SFAS 12.6, and your installation and registration of MM 2021 Premium went without a hitch?

If so, my only thought is that there was a (hopefully temporary) problem with the Magix registration server and that, given time, the problem will resolve itself.

If it does not you need to email infoservice@magix.net and ask for their assistance, I think.

@emmrecs

Thank you for your response. That is correct, the problem I'm experiencing with SFAS 12.6 is the issue. My installation/upgrade of MM2018 to 2021 was purchased and performed in the application itself through the in app store. Funnily enough though, MM2021 it isn't located under my registered products on my account list - but after reading other posts on the forums it seems that may be ok; it seems it's being kept track of on Magix's end or automatically done.

I'll continue to try to register SFAS 12.6 over the next few days, and if I can't get it working I'll send an email to infoservice@magix.net - and I'll keep looking for MM2021 too. Thank you again for your time.
