Cannot load instruments after a clean (?) install!

In all installed MAGIX products - Music Maker, Samplitude, Independence,
I couldn't load any instrument, when selecting one a popup window informs
"get_user_documents_pah() cannot get the documents path!"
I uninstalled all programs, cleaned lots of MAGIX/Samplitude/Independence registry references, deleted some MAGIX folders, under ...\Programs, ...\User and ...\AppData.
Then installed Music Maker, just to test.
The same error keeps appearing when I try to load the piano - the Revolta2 synthesizer loads OK (just the "best of" selections that Music Maker installs). Also, another error appears
"The following VST plug-in cannot be loaded:
VST Arp
There may not be enough RAM available"

The computer has 16 GB RAM, aprox 50% are available - before these accidents, Samplitude Music Studio used to run OK, never using more than 8 or 9 GB RAM.
What do you suggest? Can anybody help?
I wouldn't want to format the hard drive and re-install Windows!!!
Thanks in advance!
(please check the attached images, the error messages)

@Mr.Alex This could be a Windows security privileges problem. The program tries to get access to your Documentsfolder under C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents or the user documents folder in the Music Maker program settings (I'm not sure) but it looks like it isn't allowed.

@SP. That could be right, but the programs ceased to work suddenly, no changes were made to the computer!?
Also, other music programs - Kontakt, SampleTank, Syntronik - are working OK.
I disabled antivirus and firewall, ran the program as administratos, none worked.
Are there other possibilities to solve this? Previous install - a few months ago - ran ok...

@Mr.Alex You can try to reset the program to its default settings via the File > Settings menu.

To cut a long story short: other programs began "complaining" about the documents folder, so it couldn't possibly be Samplitude/MusicMaker fault!
The fact is that, a couple weeks, ago my documents drive D: began giving signs of an eminent death (which occurred a week ago), so I copied (almost?) everything I could to drive F:
Unfortunately, Windows registry kept A LOT of references to drive D:, which might be the cause for the errors.
The fact is that, after removing all keys pointing to drive D:, Samplitude is now working correctly.
So far so good: pianos, organs, choir, drums, synthesizers.. even my dearest "1957 Wooden Clarinet" :)
@SP. Thanks for the suggestions! Problem solved!
