Hi to all - Rescue your Videotapes users. I have had loads of problems trying to get this software to work, I am using - Version 6.0.2.24 (UDP3) - it just wouldn't allow me to view any VHS tapes. I had read the post raised by Pensioner in 2021, who had pretty much the same issue as I was having, Wow he was so very patient. Well having been taken to my limits where the VHS players and multiple PC's were about to learn how to fly. I walked away had a cuppa tea and loaded on a different PC, checked all the privacy settings were good, still no joy, I was about to give up, I clicked on the file heading and opened program settings and had a play. Well the pain has gone- under the Video Mode heading I changed it to Compatibility mode (video for windows) checked the MPEG4 tick box (I am in the UK so PAL setting) saved and an info box appeared with Mpeg codec setting to be allowed, clicked and all is well. So I hope this will help some of you guy's out there who might be having the same issues. I am also a pensioner and if I can get this sorted at the age of 70 then most of you must stand a chance.
