Cannot get MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab 2016 Deluxe reinstalled

I needing to reinstall my legally registered copy of ACL 2016 Deluxe on my computer (using Win 10 64bit) and I cannot get the system to accept my serial number to give me a new activation code. I have gotten as far as entering in the serial number and then it asks me for a ComputerID. What is a ComputerID? I have tried calling tech support and doing it via email but to no avail. The reason for the reinstall? I tried the 2017 version and my computer just does not like it. I then decided it was time to go back to the 2016 version which in the past has been great to work with. But.... no can get the serial number/activation code to work. Any suggestions? 😧

If this is really about version 2016, you shouldn't be seeing any references to a "ComputerID" in the product activation procedure, as it doesn't allow for any offline activation. I assume this is a misunderstanding, and you're referring to some procedure you're performing on the website (in your customer account), rather than in the program's activation dialog. So, if this is about product activation, simply install and start the program, and enter your serial number and registered e-mail address into the activation dialog that will come up.
