Cannot get a reactivation code for my sound forge 16

First installed Soundforge 16 on my PC last December but have upgraded my SSD since then so reinstalled and activated it but it wouldn't run so I reinstalled again and now i'm getting the message "can't reactivate now please try later" which i have tried a couple of times now.

Please help!

Welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @pyeman23.
Did you in fact "try later"? Folks have recently experienced problems with downloads and other on-line issues. so it may be a temporary glitch.
You might try deactivating and reactivating. Registered licenses can be managed via the MAGIX Service Center.
- Log in to your Magix account
- Click on "My products".
- Select the product from the list and click on "Show more details".
- Click  "Deactivate" for the pertinent PC
- Launch Sound Forge and reactivate

If the problem remains, try uninstall using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove the left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which can cause issues to reoccur.. Revo Uninstall has a pro and freeware versions. The free version is adequate in most cases,
btw, your Sound Forge serial code and the email address are paired, so you must use the email address that was used when you originally registered your product. It may be different than the email address you use to login to this forum.

I did use Revo on the last uninstall and scanned for left over files. I will try and deactivate it and see what happens.

I'm sure that the program has simply detected 2 installs since purchase but obviously I've upgraded the SSD which has changed the Machine ID which it asks for when trying to get a reactivation code.

I will update on progress tomorrow after trying deactivation first.

@pyeman23 Are you talking about the Computer ID? This can only be done for old Magix programs that allow you to activate the software offline via FAX or phone. This will not work with programs that use a P3 serial number because they only can be activated via an Internet connection.
