Hi

Is this a one off access violation or is it repeatable after restarting the computer?

. . . . I've been told its one of windows update that is causing the touble . . . .

The particular patch you are referring to is KB2859537 which came out over 2 years ago - you can try uninstalling this.

The problem with Access Violations is that they can be caused by many things eg other programs, memory problems - eg overheating, going bad or requires reseating on the motherboard, faulty drivers etc etc.

If the removal of the Windows patch above does not fix the problem then diagnosis is going to be more difficult.
