This is the error message that I'm getting .I've been told its one of windows update that is causing the touble but which one if it is Ihave burn quite a few videos but have not used the programme for quite a while Please can some one help me with this. thank you Albert

The particular patch you are referring to is KB2859537 which came out over 2 years ago - you can try uninstalling this.
The problem with Access Violations is that they can be caused by many things eg other programs, memory problems - eg overheating, going bad or requires reseating on the motherboard, faulty drivers etc etc.
If the removal of the Windows patch above does not fix the problem then diagnosis is going to be more difficult.
