Hi,

Using the elevator you can reach 128 points, but type in the small window or replace 128 with 250 or another value and exit the font menu by selecting another fonction.

Regards,

YR

Hi

The font size of the menu items control panels etc cannot be changed within the program.

Your screen resolution and monitor size is the the same as my old monitors and the menus etc font size were IMO of reasonable size and clarity.

However without knowing which graphics card/chipset you have, I would suggest that you check the actual screen resolution in the graphics card/chipsets driver and any text enhancements settings applied, the latter also needs to be checked in the Windows settings.

Thanks John, I have a 3 monitor setup with 1920x1080 in the middle, and 2 1680x1050 on the sides. Chip set is nothing fancy but adequate. I have also worked with MEP 17, and 2018 (demo), Powerdirector 16, Corel VS Pro 6, LIghtworks 14, and Davinci Resolve 12.5. None of them have as small of fonts as MEP. There are features in MEP that I really like, that are lacking in PD 16. For quick editing, MEP is excellent and very intuitive. But the font size is way too small, especially when working with nodes. All the other editors are definitely better on the font issue. My guess it is a font size of 8 at best, maybe even 7

I'll play around with the settings, but this would be a deal breaker for me if I can't get it any better. I don't want to change my windows settings just for one program when all the other programs are OK.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ISP 1
Photo Manager Deluxe Version 13.1.1.4 Trial

I have the same issue.

The text in menus, folder lists, and buttons is unreadably small.

My monitor is at 1920 x 1200.
The Windows text-size enlargement in Control panel/Display is at 150%.
In the "Window Color and Appearance" dialog, Item Menu is Tahoma Size 16.

Is there anything else I can adjust?

I wrote this last year, and still don't have an answer. Bob-D if you do figure it out, please post. I really like MEP, and just purchased 2019 Premium, but dreading the font issue. I also use Davinci Resolve 12.5.

I noticed that the Tasks menu's text size follows the text-size enlargement in Control panel/Display, but I find nothing else does. It appears that the program displays text using pixels as a measure, instead of inches and pixels per inch. I could understand why that might have been excusable in the tiny computers of 30 or 40 years ago (I'm 75), but not today. The tiny text size renders the program unusable.

This is baffling. I worked in software at DEC for (too) many years. We began development by documenting User Requirements. That's what sells.

To Magix marketing: For me, this is a show stopper.

I use MEP for rough editing, for the fine stuff I'll use Davinci. I would love to explore the full range of functionality offered in MEP, but that small font is a pain especially for setting up Effects (I am 61). Since I have a 3 monitor setup, I just made one monitor 1280x720, my other two monitors are 1920x1080. This definitely helps for the Import/Effects/Templates/Audio panel. On the monitor I use for the timeline mode, I use the title template "Timecode Basic" to give me a readable timeline - instead of the tiny time bar at the top of the timeline which has to be a font size of 5 or 6 - barely readable.

When I am not playing with video editing, I am kind of a kindergarten teacher; except instead of little kids, I work with computers and analyzers in a clinical laboratory, where I make sure they always talk nicely to each other, and never, ever, tell a lie. You may want to check out a trial for Cyberlink PowerDirector - which is an excellent editor and has the more readable font size. There are some things though I still like better in MEP. Davinci Resolve is free, but a very professional editor and needs a lot of ram and fast processor. MEP runs very nicely on my setup, Davinci struggled but was usable. I hope MAGIX listens. The fact that I mentioned a competitor might help get their attention as well if there scanning messages.
