@Ethan-Chulski Open the Music Maker program settings and click on the button to clean up the store. This often helps, if something doesn't synchronize correctly with the in-app-store.

You can also try to rescan the VST path in the program settings (in case you have the VST functionality enabled, otherwise this option isn't visible). I think the following paths need to be listed:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Magix Services\MxSynth\

C:\ProgramData\Magix\Music Maker\32\Magix Plugins\

C:\ProgramData\Magix\Music Maker\32\MxSynth\

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

@Ethan-Chulski

Go to File>Settings>Program settings (shortcut P). Then to the Folders tab and find the button highlighted in the screenshot below:

I tried and it says ''This is a premium feature. Do you want to upgrade?'' Is there another way to fix this? I want but cannot afford it.

SP. wrote on 9/1/2023, 7:21 PM

@Ethan-Chulski You can reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu.

@Ethan-Chulski

Exactly which edition of MM do you have, Free or Premium? From the error message I suspect it is the Free one.

In which case, I don't believe you can do what you want, sorry!

I googled for: "compare music maker 2024 free vs premium" and found a comparison of Free vs Premium features here:
https://www.magix.com/de/musik-bearbeiten/music-maker/kaufen/
It's in German, but Google will translate most of it (I couldn't find an English page).

Hi,

Here is the comparison chart for Music Maker 2023 Editions. DN-e1 was not in 2023 and is likely not included in the the Free Edition 2024 either.

Did you have a previous Plus or Premium Edition from another year?

I'm pretty sure you can't download an instrument you don't own. So, if you're able to install it fine, it should work fine.
