Can't Save - No Template Specified

When I open a video, and try to save, I get this error.

I read in another forum that you should install QuickTime to fix that. I did that, but nothing.

No template was specified, what does that even mean?

Try

Save as => (choose video type) => name

If you wish to render a specific Quicktime format .. then yes, the QT codecs need to be installed . The desired QT template would still need to be specified in 'Save as' as @JoaoBC stated.

In any case, muxing in replacement audio is a better option, which leaves the picture elements untouched, thus avoiding quality loss with another lossy render generation.

If your editing video, use a video editing app like Vegas.
