Can't open softwares

For whatever reason both the softwares i was prompted to download via email do not open and sony vegas just gives error code -5. feel like I was scammed Edit: it actually says I dont have a liscence but I paid for one.

There is no "Sony" Vegas but anyway Vegas products have their own forum.
