Continuing from my previous post, when I do locate the exe. file and try to open the program the installation process begins again until the prompt 'remove from computer' comes up. I gather it says that because it's already installed. It is already installed but I just can't find a way to open it without the shortcut. Thanks for any help.

@Daniel-Davies If you make a right click on the shortcut and then look into the properties, what target does it point to?

@Daniel-Davies

Hi

Can you start the program if you use the Windows Start menu and browse down to the Samplitude link there?

@Daniel-Davies Yes, because you likely start the installer, not the program itself. Have you checked the target in the properties of the shortcut? Everything else is irrelevant.

Daniel-Davies wrote on 8/10/2022, 5:41 PM

Yes, it says; "C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Samplitude Music Studio\2019\MusicStudio_x64.exe". When I click on it it says; "The item 'MusicStudio_x64.exe.' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.' I do not recall ever moving Samplitude any where.

SP. wrote on 8/10/2022, 6:04 PM

@Daniel-Davies So, have you looked under C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Samplitude Music Studio\2019\? Is the folder still there?

Daniel-Davies wrote on 8/10/2022, 6:32 PM

For some reason that folder is not there

Daniel-Davies wrote on 8/10/2022, 6:37 PM

I can find other folder like Loop Collections, Mx Synth, Soundpools, Documentation...

Daniel-Davies wrote on 8/10/2022, 6:39 PM

Those may be ACID files, I'm not sure. ACID came in the bundle I bought from Humble Bundle. Sorry if I'm not being clearer.

Daniel-Davies wrote on 8/10/2022, 6:43 PM

Search says 'The folder C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Samplitude\2019\' specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct'.

Perhaps I have to download Samplitude again? I know that some uninstalls can be difficult if you don't uninstall many different files associated with some programs so I haven't dared to begin that unless I really have to.

@Daniel-Davies

Hello, welcome

Its always wise to run anti virus/malware to scan pc in case of corrupted folders and exe files.

Try using free Revo software to remove Samplitude and remnants from the registry and re-install again.

Ok, thank you. Do I go into my Humble Bundle account, where I bought it, to find the program again to re-install it?

SP. wrote on 8/11/2022, 12:47 AM

@Daniel-Davies You can download your software from here https://www.magix.com/int/support/my-service-center/

It looks like the folder was completely deleted or moved to a different location. But you already wrote you found the executable, which is probably the installer, so it seems no other Music Studio executable is on your system. You could just run this installer and re-install the software.

Ok, thanks for your help.
